About Your NRG: UK Heating Oil & Fuel Supplier

We supply home heating oil to households and a full range of bulk fuels to businesses, from our head office in Hartlepool and a network of more than 20 depots across the country.

Domestic customers order heating oil from us to heat their homes. Commercial customers – hauliers, farmers, manufacturers, construction firms and industrial operators – rely on us for the fuels that keep vehicles moving and operations running.

How did we get started?

Your NRG was incorporated in 2007, and the business took its current shape from 2012 onwards.

That was the year Chairman Roger Peart joined, bringing with him his experience as former owner of the third-generation family business F. Peart & Co. He was joined in 2013 by Jeremy Royle, our current Managing Director. Since then, the business has been named as one of the UK's most inspiring companies in a high-profile list published by the London Stock Exchange Group.

We remain independently run, which means decisions about pricing, service, and delivery are made by people who serve our customers rather than a distant parent company.

What standards do we hold ourselves to?

We are audited and certified against recognised national standards and accreditations, so our approach is independently verified rather than simply stated.

• UKIFDA approved distributor:  We meet the industry body's standards for fuel distribution.

• BSI ISO 14001: Certified environmental management.
  
  
• Cyber Essentials: Certified under the National Cyber Security Centre scheme, so the data behind every account and delivery is protected to a government-backed standard.

How have we grown?

We have grown by acquiring established local fuel businesses and retaining what made them successful – their people, their local knowledge and their customer relationships.

Here are the key moments:

• 2013 – GB Fuels, Gateshead: Our first acquisition. A division of family-run Goodall Bates & Todd Limited, which had served Tyneside since the 1960s. Our Birtley depot now looks after that customer base across Tyneside and Northumberland, including a strong rural presence.
  
  
• 2016 – East Riding Oil, Yorkshire: This took us south through Yorkshire, Humberside and Lincolnshire. A depot in East Anglia followed soon after, extending our reach into Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex.
  
  
• 2018 – Conquest Oil Company, Bedfordshire: A third-generation family business, owned and run by the Craddock family since 1960 under the Texaco brand.
  
  
• Brobot Fuels, Leicestershire: Founded by John Bootle and family in 1978 with a single site in Melton Mowbray, Brobot had grown to serve Warwickshire too.
  
  
• F C Dawes & Son Ltd, Hertfordshire: A family business since 1947 and a leading distributor across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire since it acquired Cranfield Oils in 1988.
  
  
• 2025 – the South West and Scotland: We opened new depots in Plymouth and Avonmouth and a regional office in Exeter, then acquired independent fuel distributor Web Oil to serve the West of England. In June 2025, we entered the Scottish market for the first time, opening a Scottish head office in Grangemouth and establishing a foothold across the Central Belt.

Where do we deliver?

We deliver across most of England, into Scotland's Central Belt and the South West, from a network of 20+ depots.

Our depots cover Tyneside, Teesside, the Vale of York, Lincolnshire, the East Midlands, the West Midlands, East Anglia, Cambridgeshire and West Norfolk, and the northern Home Counties of Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire – plus Plymouth, Avonmouth and Grangemouth.
