We are hiring a Regional Transport Manager to join our team in the North West!

This role will lead on four sites and will have direct management of a fleet of 30 rigid vehicles, and 5 artic combinations, all transport compliance, leadership of driver and operational performance, accountability for health and safety, driver welfare and site facilities.
Responsible for:
The post is responsible for leadership of the regional team and specifically:
- Leadership and accountability for the implementation of our Health, Safety & Environment policies.
- Ensuring optimum scheduling and route planning and cost control including best utilisation of fleet asset
- Fleet management and compliance, O-licence compliance, vehicle maintenance schedules, ensuring full compliance with all DVSA and HSE regulations
- Leadership of two direct reports (Traffic Operator and Transport Administrator), ensuring their ongoing development and performance
- Driver welfare and engagement through maintenance of good driver welfare and wellbeing, setting and monitoring clear performance standards and objectives in line with the Company overall standard and performance and foster and develop a positive working culture
- Accountability for cost management through efficient housekeeping on fuel use, vehicle care and maintenance costs and driver optimisation to ensure best value
Key Competencies to be demonstrated:
- An ability and experience to collaborate with wider stakeholder groups inside and outside of Your NRG. Proven track record in analytical problem solving and successful resolutions.
- Transport Manager CPC (National of International)
- Demonstrable competency in successfully managing a multi-site transport operation.
- Experience in managing fleet and drivers within legislation for compliance and proven track record of successful O-Licence management
- Proven competence in successfully leading rigid and artic vehicle operations
- An ability to develop and maintain a harmonious team working environment, reducing points of conflict, and resolving any issues at the earliest stage possible.
- An ability to make the best use of the resources available to address the agreed priorities with proven experience in successful cost management, reduction and optimisation.
- A comprehensive understanding and knowledge of all relevant regulatory, law and compliance legislation
- An ability to analyse data to provide effective management reporting to enable fully-informed decision making for the Regional Manager
Qualifications and/or experience preferred:
- CPC in Transport Management
- Level 3 supervisory Management (ILM or CMI)
- Previous experience of working within a liquid fuel distribution/transport operation
