Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and driven Sales Team Leader to support and develop a high-performing telesales team within our growing fuel card division.
This is a hands-on leadership role, focused on coaching, mentoring, and driving performance across new business generation. You will play a key role in shaping the sales culture, improving conversion rates, and ensuring the team consistently meets and exceeds targets.
You will also act as second-in-command in the absence of the Fuel Card Sales Manager, providing leadership and continuity across the function.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and develop a team of telesales executives to achieve and exceed sales targets
- Drive new business performance through structured coaching, call listening, and performance management
- Deliver ongoing training, onboarding, and upskilling of new and existing team members
- Monitor KPIs including call activity, conversion rates, and revenue performance
- Support recruitment and onboarding of new sales staff as the business grows
- Maintain a high-performance culture focused on accountability, quality, and results
- Work closely with the Sales Manager to implement sales strategies and campaigns
- Step into a leadership role in the absence of the Sales Manager
- Ensure CRM systems and sales processes are followed effectively
About You

Essential:
- Proven experience in telesales and/or sales leadership
- Strong coaching and mentoring ability
- Track record of achieving and driving sales performance
- Excellent communication and motivational skills
- Ability to lead by example with a hands-on approach
Desirable:
- Experience within fuel cards, energy, or a related B2B sector
- Experience in scaling or growing a sales team
