A fantastic opportunity has arisen to become part of Your NRG's regional transport team, playing a vital role in the company's continued success and expansion within the liquid fuel distribution industry. We cater to a wide range of clients, including commercial businesses, agricultural sectors, the armed forces, emergency services, councils, and individual homeowners.

We are currently seeking aĀ Driver Trainer who will report directly to the Regional Manager at our Thetford depot. The ideal candidate will be eager to advance their career in driver training and will play an essential role in supporting our regional transport team.

Responsibilities include training new drivers, ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations, and enhancing driver performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementing Health, Safety & Environment policies
  • Onboarding new drivers
  • Conducting comprehensive driver training
  • Investigating post-accident and incident scenarios
  • Monitoring driver vehicle performance
  • Leading driver briefings and toolbox talks
  • Evaluating tachograph performance
  • Ensuring compliance with working time regulations
  • Performing offsite duties as required
  • Providing traffic office support, including planning and administrative tasks
  • Assisting with unscheduled driver absences
  • Conducting vehicle gate checks

Required Competencies:

  • Strong planning and project management skills
  • Excellent time management abilities
  • Capability to work under pressure while maintaining compliance
  • Proficient in IT systems
  • Effective communication skills for stakeholder collaboration
  • Ability to motivate team members regarding best practices and compliance
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant regulatory compliance and safety standards
  • Skills in conflict resolution and team dynamics

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a driver trainer
  • C+E Licence required
  • Full ADR licence needed
  • PDP and Driver CPC qualifications essential
  • Certifications such as SAFED or ROSPA preferred
  • Experience in multi-drop and bulk liquid fuel distribution
  • Background in vehicle and personal injury accident investigation

Working Hours:

Monday ā€“ Friday, 08:00 ā€“ 17:30 (40 hours per week), with overtime as necessary.

Work Environment:

Primarily on the road (Monday ā€“ Friday).
