A vacancy has arisen to join Your NRG’s Bulk Sales team to support the business's continued success and growth. Established in 2007, Your NRG is a privately owned liquid fuel distributor operating out of 14 regional depots and is ranked as the 4th largest oil distributor in mainland UK. We service a diverse regional customer base including commercial, agricultural, the armed forces, MOD, the emergency services, Police, Fire and Rescue, Ambulance, councils, and domestic homeowners.

The vacancy is for a Commercial Account Manager working from any of our manned regional depots, with the position involving new business prospecting to generate new buying accounts, and managing existing customer accounts while further developing a portfolio of customers that purchase bulk liquid fuel products on a regional and national basis. Being a highly transactional business, the role will evolve into relationship management and day-to-day account management. Successful management of the portfolio will involve CRM management with outbound and inbound call management, ensuring that we exceed customer expectations through our market-leading customer service and account management.

Demonstrable Competencies

  • Source and convert potential customers into retained buying accounts
  • Take incoming calls and make outbound calls to prospects, existing and lapsed customers
  • Quote logging and order processing to ensure consistency in service levels and delivery
  • Liaise with the Credit and Transport teams to ensure orders are processed and delivered on time
  • Assist with managing other sales portfolios and Domestic accounts during holidays, sickness, and busy periods.
  • Accurately input data into the computer system and ensure customer account details are maintained and up to date with key contact details.
  • Answer customer queries in a timely and professional manner
  • Have your finger on the pulse with changes in the industry

Behaviours & Experience:

  • Experience in B2B sales and/or account management
  • Previous experience in the fuel industry would be advantageous but not a prerequisite
  • Target and results-driven in a challenging and fast-paced Sales environment
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a determination to succeed
  • Excellent customer service skills, verbal and written
  • Ability to listen, interpret, and process information accurately
  • Good IT skills with the ability to competently use Microsoft Office packages
  • Ability to organise workload and manage time effectively
  • Self-motivated and able to work effectively as part of a team
  • A proven sales and account management background is preferable

  • HGV class C licence
  • Current ADR certificate (class 3 in tanks, as a minimum)
  • PDP qualification (desirable for loading at a nearby terminal)

Role Details

  • 40 hours guaranteed, Monday to Friday

  • Seasonal Saturday work on a rota basis when required

The vacancy is for a Specialist Fuel Sales Executive working with our Head Office in Bedford within the Wholesale & Specialist Fuels division.

The ideal candidate will be looking to further their career in sales and new business development, playing a pivotal role in driving sales of specialist fuels, including HVO, GTL, Ultra 35, Marine Gas Oil, and Fame Free Gas Oil. The successful candidate will be responsible for uncovering and developing new business opportunities, transforming existing customers into loyal HVO customers, and promoting innovative alternative fuels through consultative selling and dynamic account management.
